57,1 EIN GÜLDENES KLEINOD DAVIDS, VORZUSINGEN, NACH DER WEISE "VERTILGE NICHT", ALS ER VOR SAUL IN DIE HÖHLE FLOH.
57,2 Sei mir gnädig, Gott, sei mir gnädig! Denn auf dich traut meine Seele, und unter dem Schatten deiner Flügel habe ich Zuflucht, bis das Unglück vorübergehe. 57,3 Ich rufe zu Gott, dem Allerhöchsten, zu Gott, der meine Sache zum guten Ende führt. 57,4 Er sende vom Himmel und helfe mir von der Schmähung dessen, der mir nachstellt. SELA. Gott sende seine Güte und Treue. 57,5 Ich liege mitten unter Löwen; verzehrende Flammen sind die Menschen, ihre Zähne sind Spieße und Pfeile und ihre Zungen scharfe Schwerter.
57,6 ERHEBE DICH, GOTT, ÜBER DEN HIMMEL UND DEINE HERRLICHKEIT ÜBER ALLE WELT!
57,7 Sie haben meinen Schritten ein Netz gestellt und meine Seele gebeugt; sie haben vor mir eine Grube gegraben - und fallen doch selbst hinein. SELA. 57,8 Mein Herz ist bereit, Gott, mein Herz ist bereit, daß ich singe und lobe. 57,9 Wach auf, meine Seele, wach auf, Psalter und Harfe, ich will das Morgenrot wecken! 57,10 Herr, ich will dir danken unter den Völkern,ich will dir lobsingen unter den Leuten. 57,11 Denn deine Güte reicht, so weit der Himmel ist, und deine Wahrheit, so weit die Wolken gehen.

א לַמְנַצֵּחַ אַל-תַּשְׁחֵת, לְדָוִד מִכְתָּם-- בְּבָרְחוֹ מִפְּנֵי-שָׁאוּל, בַּמְּעָרָה. 1 For the Leader; Al-tashheth. [A Psalm] of David; Michtam; when he fled from Saul, in the cave.
ב חָנֵּנִי אֱלֹהִים, חָנֵּנִי-- כִּי בְךָ, חָסָיָה נַפְשִׁי: וּבְצֵל-כְּנָפֶיךָ אֶחְסֶה-- עַד, יַעֲבֹר הַוּוֹת. 2 Be gracious unto me, O God, be gracious unto me, for in Thee hath my soul taken refuge; {N} yea, in the shadow of Thy wings will I take refuge, until calamities be overpast.
ג אֶקְרָא, לֵאלֹהִים עֶלְיוֹן; לָאֵל, גֹּמֵר עָלָי. 3 I will cry unto God Most high; unto God that accomplisheth it for me.
ד יִשְׁלַח מִשָּׁמַיִם, וְיוֹשִׁיעֵנִי-- חֵרֵף שֹׁאֲפִי סֶלָה; יִשְׁלַח אֱלֹהִים, חַסְדּוֹ וַאֲמִתּוֹ. 4 He will send from heaven, and save me, when he that would swallow me up taunteth; Selah {N} God shall send forth His mercy and His truth.
ה נַפְשִׁי, בְּתוֹךְ לְבָאִם-- אֶשְׁכְּבָה לֹהֲטִים: בְּנֵי-אָדָם--שִׁנֵּיהֶם, חֲנִית וְחִצִּים; וּלְשׁוֹנָם, חֶרֶב חַדָּה. 5 My soul is among lions, I do lie down among them that are aflame; {N} even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
ו רוּמָה עַל-הַשָּׁמַיִם אֱלֹהִים; עַל כָּל-הָאָרֶץ כְּבוֹדֶךָ. 6 Be Thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; Thy glory be above all the earth. ז רֶשֶׁת, הֵכִינוּ לִפְעָמַי-- כָּפַף נַפְשִׁי:
כָּרוּ לְפָנַי שִׁיחָה; נָפְלוּ בְתוֹכָהּ סֶלָה. 7 They have prepared a net for my steps, my soul is bowed down; {N} they have digged a pit before me, they are fallen into the midst thereof themselves. Selah
ח נָכוֹן לִבִּי אֱלֹהִים, נָכוֹן לִבִּי; אָשִׁירָה, וַאֲזַמֵּרָה. 8 My heart is stedfast, O God, my heart is stedfast; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises.
ט עוּרָה כְבוֹדִי--עוּרָה, הַנֵּבֶל וְכִנּוֹר; אָעִירָה שָּׁחַר. 9 Awake, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp; I will awake the dawn.
י אוֹדְךָ בָעַמִּים אֲדֹנָי; אֲזַמֶּרְךָ, בַּלְאֻמִּים. 10 I will give thanks unto Thee, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises unto Thee among the nations.
יא כִּי-גָדֹל עַד-שָׁמַיִם חַסְדֶּךָ; וְעַד-שְׁחָקִים אֲמִתֶּךָ. 11 For Thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and Thy truth unto the skies.
יב רוּמָה עַל-שָׁמַיִם אֱלֹהִים; עַל כָּל-הָאָרֶץ כְּבוֹדֶךָ. 12 Be Thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; Thy glory
